FAQs FOR PARENTS & CARERS

  • WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING SESSIONS AT BRUNSWICK PRIMARY SCHOOL AND HOVE JUNIORS.

  • All sessions are delivered by FA-qualified coaches, teachers and assistants with significant levels of experience working with children in a range of settings. Each member of staff strives to provide a safe, welcoming training environment for everyone.

  • The welfare of your child is vital. It is our main priority and we take their wellbeing very seriously.

Coaches are first-aid and safeguarding trained. They are experienced in working with children in a range of settings.

  • Anything comfortable. For many sessions, normal PE kit and trainers are absolutely fine. Please just make sure that your child has appropriate clothing for the time of year.

For football sessions, normal trainers are fine when the ground is dry or if the session is on a playground. However, football boots with studs are a must-have for sessions on grass during the autumn and winter months - The playing fields tend to become muddy and slippery very quickly!

Shin pads are also essential in these sessions, as it is quite common for children to receive an accidental kick to the shins during some game-based activities, and with studded boots, this can be extremely painful without the protection provided by shin pads. Goalkeepers should bring a pair of gloves.

  • Sessions are usually 1 hour and 15 minutes long, often running from 3:15pm-4:30pm.

Specific dates and times will be available to view on the bookings page.

  • Snacks are not provided, therefore we would suggest that your child brings something to eat to their sessions.

There is usually time for them to have a quick snack during registration, or during a short mid-session break.

They should also bring a drink as well, but schools will generally have access to the water fountains too.
